Day 207: On Nov 21st of the home improvement project we were
able to use the new laundry room for the first time! Joyce did
a couple of loads and everything is working great. The gas
range also now works. We just need to move the refrigerator
from the baement to the new kitchen and we'll have everything
in place. Oh, except for the dishwasher. I ordered that online
at BestBuy on Oct 4th for a promised Oct 24th pickup date at
the Nashua store. Today is Nov 21st and it still hasn't arrived. Mid afternoon Cody of ANCO Plumbing and Heating came and replaced all the old grease valves. Those were in use in the 60s through 80s, but became a source of leaking gas! They sit for years just fine, but when used to turn off gas to an appliance they can start to leak. We got rid of them all except for the main shutoff to the whole house. That will require turning off gas at the street, a bigger task. |
