Day 209: Nov 23rd is a Saturday so no work is being done on the site.
I reworked the dryer vent. On Nov 20th a first attempt was made
using flexible duct. It was much longer than needed so all the
extra length was gathered up and some tape was put on the side. You
can see that in the first picture below. When the duct got hot
the tape let go and the duct was drooping down to the floor and
back up again. To fix this problem I bought a couple 90 degree sections and used those along with all the metal duct I had from the original installation. This is a much better approach and should last many years to come. You can see this in the second picture. |
