Family Vacation to Acadia National Park, June and July 2007

We returned to Acadia National Park in Maine. This is one of our favorite family vacation spots. We had reservations for last year at this same time, but Stanford's emergency abdominal surgery a few weeks before forced us to cancel. During Stanford's eight month battle with cancer from June 2006 to January 2007 he mentioned several times that he wanted to go back to Bar Harbor. We always told him that once he was past this cancer that we would go back. Sadly, Stanford passed away on Jan 23, 2007, and wasn't ever able to return. Only four of us went this time. Bradford was in Germany for the summer and Heather wasn't able to take time off so she stayed in Nashua. John, Joyce, Phillip, and Julia went. It was an enjoyable family trip, but we missed Stanford very much. We know he would have loved to go back.
